Airfryer Chicken Gyros

Updated: Mar 19, 2021

My Airfryer is my best friend, I try to make as many meals in there as I can. They aren't just healthy but delicious! Airfryer Chicken Gyros are an easy and quick meal with some pre-planning. I suggest marinating the chicken for at least 3 hours, which can be marinated overnight. Also, the tzatziki tastes better the longer the flavors blend, suggested at least an hour.

You can make your own tzatziki or use the premade tzatziki to cut downtime.

What will you need?

Chicken Marinate

  • 2 lbs of Chicken

  • 1/3 cup of Oil (Olive or Avacado)

  • 1/4 cup of Red Vinegar

  • Salt + Pepper to taste

  • gallon ziplock bag

  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano

  • 1 teaspoon of sugar

  • 3 cloves of garlic, minced

  • 1 lemon freshly squeezed

  • 3 sprigs of fresh dill

Tzatziki Dressing

  • 1 Cup of Greek Yogurt

  • 1 teaspoon of Oil

  • 1 teaspoon of Red Vinegar

  • Salt + Pepper to taste

  • 3 cloves of garlic minced

  • 5 sprigs of fresh dill

  • 1/2 of English cucumber grated*

  • 1 large lemon freshly squeezed

Salad Toppings

  • 1 large red onion

  • 2 large peppers

  • 1 English cucumber

1) Start by adding all of the ingredients in a ziplock, and allow the chicken to be marinated for at least three hours.

2) Time to make the tzatziki dressing - add all of the ingredients and mix well. Refrigerate for at least an hour.

3) Pre-heat air fryer for 5 minutes at 400 degrees.

4) Add Chicken (without marinated)

5) Cook the chicken around 15 - 20 minutes until it is done.

6) When the chicken is cooking, time to cut up your toppings! I like to cut up my toppings and toss them with olive oil, salt, pepper red vinegar, and feta cheese. When the chicken has finished cooking mix it all together.

7) Let's assemble your gyro! I add the tzatziki, then vegetables and chicken.

8) Enjoy
