The Best Philly Cheesesteak

When I want to spoil my husband I make him a Philly Cheesesteak, it is the way to his heart through his belly! His must-have ingredient is Cheeze Whiz and a lot of it!! I am assuming you can tell from the photo! To make this sandwich in a sitch, I used Boars Head roast beef. When you order it ask for them to shred it. My husband had three large sandwiches from this recipe.




What do you need?

1/2 lb of Shredded Deli Roast Beef

1 small onion

1 red pepper

1 can of cheese whiz

2 tsp of Worcestershire sauce

1 tsp of salt + pepper

1 tsp of Montreal Steak Seasoning

1/4 cup of water

2 tsp of oil

Start by adding oil to a frying pan over medium heat. Then dice up your onion and peppers, add to the pan. Stir & cook for about ten minutes until your onion and peppers are soft.


Once your veggies are cooked, add Montreal steak seasoning, salt, pepper, and 1 tsp of Worcestershire sauce, stir well.


Start to add the roast beef in as thin layers as you can. If it is shredded good, it will be a difficult task, do the best you can. Once all the beef is added, stir well.. You will start to see browning on the bottom of the pan, add 1/4 of water to the pan, to help deglaze the pan. This will remove the browning from the pan and onto the meat and veggies.


Lower the heat to low, and add the remaining Worcestershire sauce. Continue to cook for 4 to 5 minutes. If you need more water, add in small amounts. You do not want a sauce, but you want the browning bites!


I love to toast the bun, I suggest buttering your bun and throw under the broiler for a minute. Keep in mind, it is very important to watch the broiler, as it cooks very fast!!!


Assemble time!! Add meat and veggies then top with Cheeze Whiz!! Enjoy!!!
